Khaitan Public School has 22 Fundamental Clubs for encouraging students to learn various skills and activities, and to increase their involvement in the subjects of their interest. All the students from classes III to VIII are necessary to opt for at least one club activity of their interest. Each club has a structured curriculum which gives hands on experience to students.

Environment & Gardening

The Gardening Club aims to spread awareness about environment among children. It acknowledges the principal role of science in gardening, thereby teaching children about the natural world and their social responsibility to become the stewards of the planet. It’s main objective is to create environmental awareness, understanding, respect for nature and natural resource management

Pottery & Sculpture

Aim and objective:

To enable the students to express their emotions, observations and experiences through clay and other objects by learning various techniques.

Aero Modelling

Various activities in the Aero Modelling Club introduce the students to the wonderful field of Aviation and enables them to go further deep into the field to help find their calling in the field. We help to bring out the creative side of the children, to help them nurture and grow intellectually. It also help them to develop passion, clear concepts and enable them to enjoy it not only as an activity but also as a sport. The aim of the Aero Modelling Club is:

  • To understand terminologies in aeromodelling.
  • To learn about electronics, motors, and batteries.
  • To distribute Third Model "Flying Car"
  • Audio Visuals on facts and documentaries on the history of flying and the future of aerospace industry.

Western Dance

Aim & Objective:

  • To demonstrate a clear understanding of collaboration in the creative process through leadership, participation and reflection.
  • To develop a multifaceted physicality through training in dance techniques.
  • To be able to enter into professional world of performing arts.

Vocal Music

Aim & Objective:

  • To gain familiarity with a range of different musical practices and traditions, including selected classical, Indian popular, and folk practices.
  • To learn to create (perform and compose), and analyze music.
  • To learn to think about cultural, historical, and cognitive dimensions of music.

Instrumental Music (Guitar)

The Instrumental Music Club (Guitar) aims to teach students how to play basic music on the guitar. The club focuses on students performing musical exercises such as playing through scales, chord charts, strumming patterns and rhythms and they will practice these rhythms independently and in groups.

Instrumental Music (Casio)

Aim & Objective:

  • The students will identify and describe the elements of music, including melody, rhythm, harmony, form, texture and expressive devices using music performed individually and / or through aural examples.
  • The students will demonstrate the correct posture, hand position, and pedal use in the performance of assigned keyboard compositions.
  • The students will describe the use of pitch, rhythm, meter, dynamics, melody, harmony, tempo, upbeat, and downbeat in compositions they practice and to which they listen.
  • The students will define and identify the use of phrase and variations in the music studied and performed in the class.
  • The students will identify and explain compositional techniques used to provide unity and variety, and tension release in keyboard works.
  • The students will compare and contrast ways in which music is used in a variety of compositions.

Instrumental Music (Tabla)

Aim & Objective:

  • To inculcate Indian values of life amongst the masses, more particularly the younger generation through the Guru-Shishya Parampara - leading to a direct interaction of the teacher and the student, making the relation special and personal.
  • The purpose of training is not only to produce talented artists but also to pass on the true Indian culture and values amongst the students as well as their family members and the society at large.
  • To propagate performing art with a prime thrust upon the Tabla.

Home Science

Home Science Club’s aim is to help students to learn scientific knowledge in managing home life in the areas of health, nutrition & home management skills. It is to develop the right values, appreciation and understanding for better family life. The club is open for both boys and girls and doesn’t bind girls to join it.

Public Speaking & Debate (English)

The aim of the Public Speaking and Debate Club is to inculcate a fondness for English language among students. It enhances their rhetorical skills so that they can present ideas creatively and artistically and imbibe a sense of confidence. The club focuses on encouraging students to become confident orators to display their intellectual and independent thinking skills. To extensively promote communication skills of students and help in teamwork, ability to speak and emote before an audience thereby increasing the emotional quotient of the students.

Fun with Maths

The purpose of Fun with Mathematics Club is to develop students’ level of Mathematical skills and knowledge in a fun and play way manner. This is accomplished by using games, activities and mock competitions. This club supports classroom learning and enriches their skills in a relaxed, non-conventional classroom environment. It is a means of motivating children for learning mathematics.

The purpose of Fun with Science Club is to help students to develop a scientific way of learning, and to arouse and cultivate students’ interest in learning science and develop a practical approach.

Martial Arts

The Martial Arts Club focuses on regularly organizing a session for the students of Classes 3-8 that provides them strength, flexibility, speed, power, endurance, accuracy with the help of different martial art techniques and strategies. The main objective of Martial Art is not necessarily about learning how to fight better but to understand our own self. It teaches us self-defense and makes us aware about our weaknesses and strengths. Moreover, it also improves our inner skills and concentration.

The Reading Club aims to create an opportunity for students to become enthusiastic and enthralled with the wonderful world of literature. It seeks to foster the enjoyment of reading as a recreational activity in all its members, and promote improved reading and comprehension skills in the students. It also provides an enriching and rewarding atmosphere for them to discover, develop, deploy and express their skills and talents.

Junk Modeling

The club’s objective and aim is to teach students how to use junk and scrap materials and create an artwork out of them. Students are made aware about the reuse and aesthetic value of the scrap material in the club.

The aim of the Candle Making Club is to develop aesthetic value in students and to emphasize on learning by doing. It is also to make them aware of various types of wax candles and candle decoration.
